1. LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin last hosted Minnesota State at LaBahn Arena, racing past the Mavericks 6-0 on Thursday night before completing the sweep on Friday night with a 9-0 victory. Kirsten Simms, Caroline Harvey and Britta Curl led the offense as they each tallied seven points in the series. Goalies Jane Gervais and Ava McNaughton both picked up a win in the sweep, with McNaughton earning her first career shutout.Â
2. 600, WE WANT MORE: Friday's triumph over the Mavericks marked head coach Mark Johnson's 600th career win. Johnson became the first NCAA Division I women's hockey coach to reach 600 wins and only the ninth NCAA Division I men's or women's hockey coach to reach the milestone. He is both the winningest coach in Wisconsin history and in NCAA collegiate women's hockey history.Â
3. THE RIVALRY CONTINUES: The Badgers are well-represented as three former and five current Wisconsin women's hockey players were named to the United States roster for the November contests of the Rivalry Series. Former Badgers Natalie Buchbinder, Hilary Knight and Abby Roque will be joined by current UW student-athletes Britta Curl, Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards, Caroline Harvey and Anna Wilgren during the two-game series against Canada on November 8 and 11. Additionally, UW Director of Operations/Equipment Manager Sis Paulsen will be joining the USA Hockey staff for the series as an Equipment Manager.Â
4.CLIMBING THE CHARTS: For the third-straight weekend, Britta Curl posted six or more points. The senior paces the Badgers in points with 20 and now ranks 17th  in school history for career points with 138. The captain is also tied for ninth in school history in power play goals with 20.Â
5. AGAINST BEMIDJI STATE: UW leads the all times series against BSU, 88-7-5, including a 41-3-2 record at home. The Badgers outscored the Beavers 32-3 in the 2022-23 season, including a 13-1 victory at Bemidji on Dec. 2. Britta Curl enjoyed a five-goal weekend in the last matchup against the Beavers, which featured her first collegiate hat trick.Â
