MADISON, Wis. – The fifth-ranked Wisconsin women's hockey team heads west this weekend to take on St. Cloud State in a WCHA showdown at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Puck drop on Friday is set for 6 p.m. while Saturday's series finale begins at 3 p.m.

1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers earned their second sweep of the year this past weekend, topping the Tommies 5-0 and 9-1.

Sarah Wozniewicz,
Claire Enright and
Caroline Harvey tallied four points each, with Enright and Harvey both scoring their first goals as Badgers. Goalies
Cami Kronish and
Jane Gervais each picked up a win in the series.
2. AGAINST THE HUSKIES: Wisconsin currently has a 31-game unbeaten streak against St. Cloud dating all the way back to Feb. 22, 2015. The Badger last played the Huskies Jan. 28-29, 2022, resulting in a tie and a 4-0 win. Associate head coach of the Huskies, Jinelle (formerly Zaugg) Siergiej was a standout Badger from 2004-2008. Siergiej was a two-time NCAA Champion in her time at UW, leaving the program the all-time leader in goals, game-winning goals and power play goals.
3. ENRIGHT EARNS HONORS: Freshman
Claire Enright picked up her first WCHA honors after being named WCHA Rookie of the Week. This award follows a four-point weekend in which Enright scored her first goal as a Badger against St. Thomas on Friday. The forward from Farmington, Minnesota, also tallied two assists against the Tommies during Saturday's game to mark her first multi-assist game with Wisconsin. Enright ended the weekend with a +7 rating.
4. POINT PALOOZA: Wisconsin is currently leading all of NCAA D1 Women's Ice Hockey in goals with 40. Thirteen of UW's 20 skaters have contributed to those 40 goals. Additionally, 19 of the 22 players have tallied one point or more, including goalie
Jane Gervais.
Casey O'Brien currently leads the Badgers in scoring, with 12 points (4G-8A) while
Lacey Eden (5G-6A),
Sophie Shirley (5G-6A) and
Caroline Harvey (1G-9A) have also hit double-digits in points this season.
5. MOVING UP THE RANKS: UW senior defender
Nicole LaMantia moved into a tie for sixth place in school history in defender scoring thanks to a three-point outing against St. Thomas on Saturday. The Wayne, Illinois, native now has 85 career points, which ranks sixth along with Molly Engstrom, Jenny Ryan and Mekenzie Steffen. LaMantia is only two points away from moving into a tie for fifth with former teammate
Grace Bowlby, who posted 87 points during her time on the UW blueline. In addition, LaMantia is 15 points away from becoming the fourth UW blueliner to post 100 career points as
Sis Paulsen (128), Kerry Weiland (124) and Courtney Burke (108) are the only three Badger defenders to hit the century mark in points.
