Head Coach Mark Johnson
On today's game:
"It was a good game. We were able to score in the first shift and then I thought our third period we played as well as we have in a long time, with us taking care of the puck and netting the puck."
On Makenna Webster:
"She worked hard and she earns her goals. She goes and gets in the dirty areas and most of her goals are right inside of the paint. She was able to do that, got a nice power play goal in the third period. I'm happy for her and happy for the team."
Sophomore forward Makenna Webster
On her line:
"My line was doing really well today. We were really moving the puck and moving off each other. I think I was in the right place at the right time, banging some of the pucks in that my linemates were able to feed me in the slot. We're doing really well, we got a new power play group and we just capitalized when we need to. I think we've improved a lot since last weekend obviously wasn't our best weekend. But I think each game we're just improving and I think this game in the third period we really stepped up in starting to play like us again."
Senior forward Kennedy Blair
On her shutout:
"It feels good. I think bouncing back from yesterday and having the first shot go in, I was kind of shaky the rest of the game. It feels good."
Up Next: The Badgers head to Mendota Heights, Minnesota, to take on St. Thomas on Monday in a 7:15 p.m. contest.
