Here are five things to know before the puck drops.
1. LAST TIME OUT: The Badgers earned three of a possible six points last weekend at No. 2 Minnesota. UW rallied from a two-goal deficit and defeated Minnesota, 4-3, in overtime on Friday night before the two teams settled for a 2-2 tie on Saturday. Minnesota won the shootout following the tie to earn the extra point in the league standings.
2. TRIO WINS AWARDS: Three Badgers entered this week earning WCHA honors. Daryl Watts earned Forward of the Week for the third time this season after extending her goal-scoring streak to seven games. Grace Bowlby won Defenseman of the Week for the third time this season after posting two points to lead WCHA defensemen. Lacey Eden was named Rookie of the Week for the second time in less than a month playing with Wisconsin and recorded her first multi-assist game on Friday.
3. BRICK WALL BLAIR: Goaltender Kennedy Blair has been named to the HCA Women's Goalie of the Year Watchlist. The Bismarck, North Dakota, native has a save percentage of .944 with 303 saves on the season. She leads the WCHA in win percentage at .792 and is second in both goals against average and save percentage. She is tied fourth in the NCAA for shutouts with three.
