1. BORDER-BATTLE SHUTDOWN: In a memorable rivalry weekend at the home barn, the No. 1 Badgers shutdown the No. 2 Golden Gophers for a weekend sweep earning a 5-4 overtime win Friday before taking a 3-0 win Saturday.

Five Badgers added to the scoreboard in the victory weekend including senior Presley Norby who scored two goals Saturday, assists both by junior Delaney Drake, and sent UW into a game-winning lead.

The weekend's series marked the second time in three years the Badgers have swept Minnesota at LaBahn Arena. UW improved to 9-7-0 all-time against Minnesota at LaBahn Arena.

2. ROQUE-ING HAT TRICK: Senior Abby Roque stole the show opening night against Minnesota by nailing her second career hat trick and 50th career goal.

Roque is only the second Badger to have a hat trick against Minnesota as Sarah Nurse (2013-17) tallied one Dec. 4, 2016 in a thrilling 8-2 win.

The Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan native moved into 10th place in school history in scoring with 157 points. In addition, her 107 assists rank No. 8 in program history as she became only the eighth Badger to tally 100 career assists.

3. SHIRLEY IT'S A SWEEP: Sophomore Sophie Shirley closed out opening night with a tiebreaking goal just 52 seconds into overtime with a one-timer past Gopher goaltender Sydney Scobee from junior linemate Daryl Watts.

The 2019 WCHA Rookie of the Year has already set a career in points after netting 38 points her first year as a Badger.

Shirley has scored in three-straight games and has a team high of 22 goals this season. Both Roque and Shirley are tied for fourth in the country for points per game with 45 points each.

4. NO SOUP FOR OPPONENTS: Senior netminder Kristen Campbell made 43 saves last weekend to add a fourth shutout this season and a 28th career shutout to her record earning her WCHA Goaltender of the Week.

This is Campbell's third WCHA weekly honors in the 2019-20 season where she leads the NCAA with 22 wins and ranks 12th with a 1.79 GAA.

The two-time All-American alternate captain currently ranks fourth in career wins at UW with 88 behind only Olympians Alex Rigsby (100), Ann-Renee Desbiens (99) and Jessie Vetter (91).

5. AGAINST THE HUSKIES: Wisconsin enters the weekend with a 23-game unbeaten streak against St. Cloud State, a streak that started on Feb. 2, 2015. During the run, the Badgers have outscored the Huskies 102-15 and have 14 shutouts during the streak.

Last time out, the Badgers swept St. Cloud State defeating the Huskies 5-3 in the series opener before earning a 6-2 win in the finale. Daryl Watts had a six-point weekend thanks to three goals.

Britta Curl has seven goals and 11 points in eight games with the Huskies, while Sophie Shirley has 11 points. Presley Norby has seven goals in 16 games against the Huskies.

St. Cloud State has a pair of Badger legends on their bench in Jinelle (Zaugg) Siergiej and Molly Engstrom. Siergiej scored one of the most memorable goals in school history against Harvard while Engstrom was a two-time WCHA Defensive Player of the Year for the Cardinal and White.
