1. WISCONSIN STATE OF MIND: The Badgers set New York on fire last weekend leaving Long Island with a broken record, 22 goals and a barnburner series in their back pocket against NCAA's newest Division I edition, the LIU Sharks.
Following a 10-2 win Friday night, Wisconsin stormed the home of the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum Saturday with a shutout 12-0 game.

The Badgers scored six first-period goals in the first series game tying for the fourth-most goals in a single period of play. It also marked the first time since Feb. 14, 2016, that UW scored six goals in a single period.
2. FIRST GOALS GALORE + AN ECSTATIC HAT TRICK: Nineteen different Badgers found the scoresheet during the sweep of the Sharks while five Badgers recorded their first collegiate goals.
Freshmen Chayla Edwards and Grace Shirley took home their first goals Friday night, and freshman Dara Greig, sophomore Jesse DeVito and junior Grace Bowlby posted theirs Saturday.
Long Island was a great place for this group!

3. DANG, DARYL: Junior Daryl Watts continues to lead the NCAA in points per game with 25 points in eight games this year, the highest in Badger history. The last women's hockey player to come close to that number in eight games was Sara Bauer in 2004 who posted 11 goals and nine assists for 20 points overall.

The 2018 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner improved her scoring streak to eight goals in seven-straight games before coming to a close after Friday's game. Her seven-game goal streak tied her for fourth in Badger history next to Annie Pankowski's same streak last year.
Watts earned one goal and three assists for two consecutive four-point games Oct. 12 at Ohio State and Friday at LIU. She still chipped in three assists during Saturday's triumph.
The Toronto native also netted her 150th career collegiate point Friday as the first goal of the game just one minute into the first period.
4. STACK THE PADS: Sophomore goaltender Cami Kronish, a native of New York, earned her first collegiate action playing the final two periods for UW Friday's game. She stopped nine shots in her Badger debut.
Sophomore Breanna Blesi earned her first collegiate win as the Maple Grove, Minnesota, native played the first 40 minutes for UW Saturday night. She stopped two shots before senior Nikki Cece came in and made four saves in the final 20 minutes.

5. AGAINST THE BEAVERS: Bemidji State is the last team to best Wisconsin in a 2-1 setback game last Feb. 1 in Minnesota before the Badgers came back with a 4-0 shutout in game two.
The Badgers still have the upper hand when it comes to the series between UW and BSU. Since the beginning of Wisconsin women's hockey in 1999, Wisconsin is 74-6-4 all-time against Bemidji and 35-4-1 all-time at home.
