
Badgers set for Big Ten Tournament

UW will face Iowa at 6 p.m. CT live on Big Ten Network
Wisconsin is set to play 11th-seeded Iowa, meeting the Hawkeyes at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the final game of the first round. Earlier this season, the Badgers took the series, 2-1, in Madison, highlighted by an 8-1 win and a 6-5 walk-off victory in extra innings. UW trails the all-time series 36-19, but the Cardinal and White hold a 12-8 advantage since Yvette Healy took the reins at Wisconsin.
The winner will face third-seeded Ohio State in the quarterfinals on Friday at 6 p.m.

Tickets
Big Ten Tournament tickets are on sale through the Michigan Ticket Office. Tickets are sold out for Friday (May 12) and Saturday (May 13) but are still available for Thursday (May 11).
Spectators must purchase a ticket for each day of play. A ticket purchased for one of the three days will be good for all of the games played on that day. All guests must have a ticket to enter.

AROUND THE HORN
The Badgers ended the regular season on a high note, sweeping Maryland on the road last weekend. The Badgers recorded a season-high six doubles in Friday's 8-3 victory, then came from behind to claim Saturday's matchup by a 5-3 score. To top off the weekend, Wisconsin showed a balanced and dominant effort in a 5-0 shutout of the Terps on Sunday.
SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES
- The Hawkeyes enter the contest 19-31 overall and 9-14 in conference play. They hold a .217 team batting average and 2.89 team ERA.
- Iowa won three conference series and finished tied for ninth in the regular season.
- The Hawkeyes clinched the series against Purdue by winning out the last two games with a 5-0 shutout and an 8-3 victory. They also defeated Nebraska 2-0 in the series and had a 2-1 series defeat over Rutgers.
- In their 8-3 win, four separate Hawkeyes recorded two RBI apiece. Freshman Allison Doocy had the 5-0 shutout for the Hawkeyes with a complete game, giving up just six hits but striking out six Boilermakers. Wood had her first of two doubles on the weekend in the shutout.
- Shayla Starkenburg leads Iowa with a 2.37 ERA with a 9-11 record and 84 strikeouts on the season.
- Doocy is a doozy: Allison Doocy ranks third in the conference for batters struck out (60) in conference-games only.Â
- All Mullarkey: Kaitlyn Mullarkey leads Iowa in nearly every category. She leads in hits (36), doubles (11), and hit by pitches (18). Defensively, she leads the team in putouts with 313. She leads the team with nine multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games. She had a 16-game reached base streak.
- Gotta catch Pratt: Cheyenne Pratt is 9-for-12 in stolen bases this season. She has made an appearance in every game for Iowa this season (48) and has started in 45 games.Â
- Thompson sacrifices: Lea Thompson leads the conference in sacrifice bunts (15) in regular season play and conference play (8).
