Team Notes

  • Wisconsin drops its fourth straight game to fall to 8-17 on the season, 4-11 in the Big Ten.
  • The Badgers drop to 0-6 against top-25 teams this season.
  • After two straight games with 20-plus fouls, Wisconsin had 18 fouls in the game with six coming in the final three minutes of the game.
  • The Badgers have had seven-or-more 3-pointers made in the last seven-straight games.
  • All three of the junior starters finished in double figures tonight. Tessa Cichy had a team-high 17 points while Dakota Whyte and Nicole Bauman each added 16 points apiece. UW is now 4-5 when three players are in double figures.
  • The Badgers have had at least three players in double digits in five consecutive games. Cichy, Bauman and Whyte have all been in double figures in the last three contests.
  • Wisconsin committed 11 turnovers in the first half but only four in the second half. UW was under its average of 17.3 giveaways per game. The Badgers allowed the Terrapins to score 28 points off of turnovers.
  • Maryland outrebounded Wisconsin 37-34, marking the 13th time this season that UW has been outrebounded by its opponent. The Terrapins entered the game averaging 43 rebounds per game.
  • Maryland took an opponent season-high 26 free throw attempts.

Individual Notes
  • Cassie Rochel finished with a team-high 11 rebounds, her 11th game this season with 10-or-more rebounds. She also added a game-high three blocks.
  • Junior Tessa Cichy led the Badgers with 17 points, marking the 13th game she has been in double figures.
  • Junior Nicole Bauman had a season-high three steals in the game. She also added 16 points and nine rebounds. Bauman's nine boards were just one shy of her career high of 10 rebounds.
  • Bauman has scored in double figures the last eight games, the longest consecutive double-figure scoring streak by any Badger player this season.   The New Berlin, Wisconsin, native has scored in double figures 19 games this season.
  • Nicole Bauman still leads the Big Ten with her .471 (23-of-65) 3-point field goal percentage. She hit 2-of-6 from beyond the arc against Maryland. She also ranks 16th in the Big Ten for scoring with 14.7 points per game.
  • Bauman surpassed the 700-point mark in her career tonight and now has 710 career points.
  • Cassie Rochel passed the 600-rebound milestone and now has 610 career boards. She also went past 100 assists in her career after dishing out two against the Terrapins.
