End-of-the-season banquet on Feb. 6, 2016
MADISON, Wis. -- Celebrate the 2015 Wisconsin volleyball season and join the Badgers for their annual banquet on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Symphony Room 215 of Gordon Commons, 770 W. Dayton St., on the UW campus. A social hour begins at 6 p.m. with a buffet dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The banquet program will follow dinner. Cost of the event is $30 per person while children 12–and-under are $20.
The Badgers advanced to their third-straight NCAA regional in 2015, losing to Florida in the semifinals. Wisconsin went 26-7 on the year and finished fourth in the Big Ten Conference at 16-4.
Wisconsin earned four All-America honors as junior Lauren Carlini earned her second-straight first-team honor. Junior Haleigh Nelson was a second-team All-American while senior Taylor Morey and freshman Tionna Williams earned honorable mention All-America honors.
Carlini was named the Big Ten Setter of the Year for the second-straight season while she earned her third-straight All-Big Ten honor. She was joined on the first team by Nelson while Morey picked up honorable mention accolades. Williams was also named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
Wisconsin also celebrated record crowds in 2015 as UW had five sell outs in the UW field House. The sell outs upped the Badgers' season attendance average to 5,046 fans per match, which ranked third nationally and second in the Big Ten. The mark was also the second best in program history, just behind 2007's record of 5,050 spectators per match. Wisconsin drew a record total of 85,774 fans for the season, breaking the 2007 mark of 75,750 spectators.
All fans are invited to attend the banquet. Registrations must be done online here. The deadline to register is Jan. 29, 2015. For questions or dietary needs or restrictions, please contact Lori Murphy at lxm@athletics.wisc.edu
