Team Notes

For the second straight game, Wisconsin struggled with shooting from the field. UW shot 37.5 percent (24-of-64) from the field while Minnesota shot 48.4 percent (31-of-64), the second highest percentage by an opponent this season. 

The Badgers also shot just 33.3 percent (5-of-15) from 3-point range while UM shot 47.4 percent (9-of-19).

Wisconsin tied its season high for free throw percentage at 87.5 percent (7-of-8). The Golden Gophers shot just 12.5 percent (1-of-8) from the line for a season low percentage and attempts for UM. 

UW outblocked Minnesota 7-3, holding the Golden Gophers well under their season average of 6.4 blocks per game.

The Badgers outrebounded the Gophers 38-36, the fifth straight opponent that UW has outrebounded. 

Wisconsin had just three steals in the game, which ties for the second-lowest total this season.

UW picked up just 11 fouls in the game, marking the second-lowest total by the Badgers this season.

 

Individual Notes

For the second straight game, UW had only one player score in double figures as junior Nicole Bauman scored 14 points. The 5-10 guard tied her career best with six made field goals. Senior Jacki Gulczynski, freshman Cayla McMorris and sophomore Malayna Johnson each added nine points

Malayna Johnson recorded career highs with nine points and four blocks. She went 3-of-5 from the field, tying her career best for makes, and was a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line.

Senior Jacki Gulczynski tied her season high for rebounds with eight and registered a new career high with six assists. She also added two blocks.
