Head Coach Bobbie Kelsey

On what it feels like to get the first Big Ten win this season:
"It feels good to get any win under our belt, but a Big Ten win is what we are obviously in right now. We are in the Big Ten season so we need to make sure we take care of business, especially at home. It's hard to win on the road, everybody is a good team in our conference. There are some great coaches and they have their teams prepared. Michigan is a great team. They didn't have the best shooting night. We tried to take them out of what they wanted to do. I thought individual players on our team did a good job, but we always have something to learn. There's always something to learn but we will take positives away from the game. We had a lot of people step up and do a lot for us."

On the biggest reason the Badgers were able to earn a 10-point win:
"Again, it starts on the defensive end. You've got to get stops and you've got to score. I know we went on a little drought there, I'm not sure how long, but it seemed like forever that we didn't score. Some of our players were in foul trouble. They have got to play smarter. You can't foul, because then you can't be in the game. You can't help our team on the bench other than cheering, and that doesn't score baskets for us."

On Nicole Baumann's career night and beginning of the season:
"Nicole is a scorer for us, everybody has a different role. I thought AnnMarie Brown came in for us and gave us some great minutes. Her defense was stellar helping on Cyesha Goree, who is a great post player. Again, she got her double-double and she is a hard cover.  She works hard, I know she did a lot in the offseason two years ago to get her body in shape, and that's what you ask any player to do. To come out in the summertime or in the spring and work on their game, so when you come on the court it shows."

On Tessa Cichy's performance in the game:
"Tessa is a fearless player, whether it be on the defensive or offensive end. She does a great job for us. She's a scorer and when she's feeling it, it goes in. Some of the shots weren't the best, but you live with some of those because when you need her to shoot it, she comes through."

Junior G Nicole Bauman

On how it feels to open up conference play with such a big win:
"It feels great. It's going to be a good lead into what is coming next."

On her career high performance:
"It's awesome, but everyone on the team played great. When I was open they got me the ball, and they knew that I was hot today so that was awesome. We had a lot of assists today."
