Team Notes



·         The Badgers open the Big Ten Conference season with a win for the second straight season. UW is now 13-19 all-time in conference openers including a 9-8 mark at home. Head coach Bobbie Kelsey improves to 2-2 in Big Ten openers.



·         Wisconsin shot 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range, its second highest percentage and makes of the season.



·         UW shot better than 85 percent from the free throw line for the second-straight game. Wisconsin hit 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the line against the Wolverines.



·         The Badgers held Michigan to just 53 points, 17 points below its season average of 70.5 points per game and the Wolverines second-lowest point total of the year.



·         Michigan shot a season-low 33.9 percent (21-of-62) from the field today.



·         Wisconsin has had at least two players score in double figures every game this season.



·         The Badgers shot 42.9 percent (21-49) from the field and 57.1 percent (8-14) from 3-point range. UW also held an 86.7 free-throw percentage (13-15) in the game.

·         The Badgers outrebounded the Wolverines 36-33.

Individual Notes



·         Junior Nicole Bauman had a career-high and game-high 21 points. The 5-10 guard shot 50 percent (5-of-10) from the field, including 4-of-7 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range.



·         Junior Tessa Cichy tied her career high with 14 points and added a career-high five assists.



·         Senior Cassie Rochel recorded two of the Badgers four blocks and now has 132 career blocks.



·        Bauman's four made 3-point field goals was a game high for a Badger player this season.



·         Cichy's six made field goals and 14 field goal attempts tied her career highs.



·         Bauman's seven made free throws against the Wolverines marked a new career high.
