Badgers set to close fall exhibition season

MADISON, Wis., – The Wisconsin softball team’s seven-game fall slate will come to a close on Sunday as UW hosts UW-Parkside at Goodman Diamond. The first pitch is set for noon and admission is free to the general public.
The Badgers have posted a 5-0 record in the fall season, sweeping in their doubleheaders against Green Bay and Kirkwood Community College and defeating Highland College.
In their last time out, the Badgers conquered Kirkwood Community College, 6-1 and 7-6. The Badgers improved their stolen base total to 23-for-26, as they swiped nine bases in that doubleheader.
Wisconsin has enjoyed impressive performances at the plate posting a .481 team batting average with 65 total hits this season.
Sophomore Sarah Fonk has been dominant in the circle by only allowing five hits in her eight innings out. Freshman Mariah Watts has started in two games and holds .69 ERA.
