Experience the Rivalry: Student Soccer Week

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Soccer will participate in UW Student Week, Monday, September 30th through Friday, October 4th. Students are invited to McClimon soccer complex to experience, for free, some of this season’s greatest rivalries. On Wednesday, October 2nd at 7PM the Men’s team takes on in-state competitors, the Marquette Golden Eagles. The Women’s battle defending Big Ten champion, Penn State on Friday October 4th at 7PM.
Have a night out on us! Men’s Soccer invites all student organizations out on Wednesday for a competitive match against Marquette. Enjoy a pre-game tailgate (6PM) in lot 60 with free pizza while supplies last. Enter in-game contests to win a Best Buy gift cards or Culver’s ice cream for your next meeting. This is a great social opportunity for members of your organization to get to know each other and support the Badgers. Please pre-register your organization with Alissa Endres (Athletic Marketing) at aendres@athletics.wisc.edu.
Attention all students living in university housing, join Women’s soccer for the first ever Residence Hall Cup. Compete all week long for points for your house to win a pizza party.
How to earn points:
- Post all week on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtags, ResHallCup and ”yourhousename” (EX. #Pittman)=1pt. per post
- Visit the teams at dining hall information tables
- Gordon Commons
- October 1- Women’s Soccer
- Four Lakes
- October 1- Men’s Soccer
- October 3- Women’s Soccer
- Attend the Men’s game vs. Marquette= 1pt. per person in attendance from your house
- Attend the Women’s game vs. Penn State= 1pt. per person in attendance from your house
- Win in-game contests on Friday, October 4
- Sign-making contest= 30 pts. to winner and a Best Buy gift card
- Residence Hall Cup shoot-out= 50 pts. to winner and Pancheros burritos for your house
