• Each of Wisconsin’s last 12 losses have come by seven points or fewer. UW hasn’t lost a game by more than a touchdown since a 34-24 loss at Michigan State on Oct. 2, 2010.
• Senior LB Chris Borland, an Ohio native making his final appearance in Ohio Stadium, matched his career high with a game-high 16 tackles, including stuffing OSU’s Carlos Hyde twice in short-yardage situations. With 0.5 TFLs, Borland moved into sole possession of fifth place on the Badgers’ all-time list with 43.5 for his career.
• Senior WR Jared Abbrederis had a career-high 207 receiving yards, his eighth career 100-yard receiving game and his second at Ohio Stadium (113 yards in 2011), making him the first UW player with two 100-yard receiving games vs. OSU. It’s the first 200-yard receiving performance by a UW player since Lee Evans had a school-record 258 yards vs. Michigan State on Nov. 15, 2003. With his 207 yards tonight, he moved into third place on Wisconsin’s career receiving yardage list (2,631) and now trails only Lee Evans (3,468) and Brandon Williams (2,924).
• With his first quarter TD reception, Abbrederis joined Evans (27) and Tony Simmons (23) as the only Badgers with at least 20 touchdown reception in a career.
• Sophomore QB Joel Stave completed 20 of 34 passes for a career-high 295 passing yards, the most by a Badgers QB since Russell Wilson threw for 296 yards in the 2012 Rose Bowl vs. Stanford.
• Senior RB James White leads all active FBS players in touchdowns scored and added to that total tonight. His 17-yard TD run in the fourth quarter was the 37th touchdown of his career
• Junior TE Sam Arneson recorded career highs in receptions (3) and receiving yards (39). His second quarter TD grab was his first of the season and third of his career.
• Sophomore S Tanner McEvoy, who came to UW as a quarterback and has lined up at wide receiver this year, saw his most extensive action of the season and recorded the first four tackles of his career.
• Junior NG Warren Herring recorded a career-high two sacks. Herring had recorded 0.5 sacks in 25 career games entering last week’s contest. He now has three sacks in the last two games.
