Team Notes

For the second straight game, the Badgers scored 80 points in exhibition play.

Wisconsin had four players score in double figure, led by a game-high 18 from Michala Johnson. The 6-3 center led all scorers for the second straight exhibition.

Dakota Whyte (14 points), Morgan Paige (11) and Taylor Wurtz (11) also scored in double figures.

The Badgers shot better than 50 percent from the field for the second-straight exhibition. Wisconsin hit 56.5 percent (35-of-62) from the field vs. the Pointers. UW also shot 51.5 percent vs. Winona State on Nov. 3.

UW dished off 18 assists, including a game-high six from Dakota Whyte.

Whyte also led Wisconsin with five steals as the Badgers recorded 13 steals and forced 19 Pointer turnovers.

The Badgers outrebounded UW-Stevens Point 38-20, led by six apiece from Johnson and AnnMarie Brown. Ten UW players had at least one board.

All 12 available Badgers played at least one minute with nine scoring.

Individual Notes

Sophomore Dakota Whyte had an impressive stat line with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field. She was also 2-of-2 from the free throw line and added five rebounds. The 5-8 point guard added six assists and five steals with no turnovers in 28 minutes of play.

For the second-straight game, junior transfer Michala Johnson led all players in scoring. The 6-3 post was 9-of-13 (69.2 percent) from the field and shared game-high honors with six rebounds. She also added one assists, one block and three steals in 25 minutes of play.

Senior Taylor Wurtz led Wisconsin in field goal percentage, hitting 5-of-6 from the field for 83.3 percent.
