TEAM NOTES
•    Wisconsin improved to 22-8 overall and 11-6 in Big Ten play.

•    With the win, the Badgers clinched a first-round bye in the 2012 Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin can finish no worse than fourth in the Big Ten standings. This marks the 12th-consecutive season UW will enjoy a bye in the first round of the conference tournament.

•    Including this season, the Badgers have never finished lower than fourth in the Big Ten standings in 11 seasons under Bo Ryan.

•    Wisconsin has won at least 11 Big Ten games in 9 of Ryan’s 11 seasons in Madison.

•    Bo Ryan improved to 264-99 in his career at Wisconsin, leaving him one win shy of tying Hall of Famer Harold “Bud” Foster for the UW school record. Foster, who coached from 1935-59, owned a record of 265-267.

•    UW is 165-15 (.917) at home under Ryan, including a mark of 83-9 (.902) against Big Ten Conference opponents.

•    The Badgers are 21-0 this season when leading or tied with 5 minutes remaining in a game.

•    Wisconsin improved to 15-4 against Minnesota under Ryan, including an 8-1 mark at the Kohl Center.

•    The Badgers trailed 23-16 at the half and came back to post a 52-45 win. Wisconsin has trailed at halftime in only 35 of 180 home games under Ryan. UW has come back to win 23 of those games.

•    Wisconsin posted its biggest comeback of the year, rallying to win after trailing by as many as 10 points (at 23-13 with 3:08 remaining in the first half).

•    The Badgers have trailed in the second half of 5 of their last 7 wins.

•    After shooting just 19.0% (4-for-21) in the first half, Wisconsin hit 44.4% of its shots in the second half (8-for-18).

•    Wisconsin hit 22 of 29 free throw attempts (75.9%) and is shooting a Big Ten-best 77.3% from the charity stripe during conference games.

•    Wisconsin lowered its nation-leading scoring defense to an average of 51.8 points per game, holding Minnesota to a season-low 45 points. The Badgers have held 15 of their 30 opponents to a season-low point total.

•    UW has held 12 of its 30 opponents this season to fewer than 50 points, going 12-0 in those games. The Badgers are 72-2 under Ryan when holding an opponent under 50 points.

•    The Badgers held Minnesota without a field goal for a span of 15 minutes and 8 seconds, including the final 8:01 of the first half and the first 7:07 of the second period.

•    Minnesota’s field-goal percentage of 23.9 was the lowest allowed by the Badgers in Big Ten play.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
•    Senior Jordan Taylor scored a game-high 22 points, giving him 1,438 points for his career and moving him past Devin Harris (1,425) for 9th on the Badgers’ all-time scoring list. Taylor connected on 11 of 12 free throws (91.7%) and also was 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

•    The performance was Taylor’s third 20-point game of the season, including both of UW’s games against Minnesota. Taylor has averaged 23.7 points in his last 3 games vs. Minnesota.

•    Sophomore Ben Brust scored 4 points, pulled in 3 rebounds and dished out 3 assists off the bench.

•    Junior Ryan Evans scored 12 points on 6-for-6 shooting from the free throw line and added 8 rebounds.
