TEAM NOTES
• Wisconsin won its fifth-consecutive game to improve to 17-5 overall and 6-3 in Big Ten play.
• UW is 163-14 (.921) at home under Bo Ryan, including a mark of 81-8 (.910) against Big Ten Conference opponents.
• With the win, Bo Ryan recorded his 126th Big Ten win at Wisconsin, passing former Iowa coach Tom Davis (1986-99) and moving into 14th place on the Big Ten’s all-time wins list.
• Wisconsin has now won nine consecutive games against Indiana, the longest win streak by any Hoosiers opponent since 1935. It also equals the third-longest win streak against IU (Wisconsin won 11 in a row from Feb. 16, 1912 to Feb. 24, 1919 and Purdue won 11 in a row from Feb. 9, 1909 to Feb. 9, 1914).
• The Badgers also won their 11th straight over Indiana in Madison.
• This is the only regular-season meeting between Wisconsin and Indiana this season.
• Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan improved to 15-3 all-time vs. Indiana.
• The Badgers have won 5 straight games in Big Ten play for the first time since a 5-game win streak during the 2008-09 season (Feb. 5-19).
• Over the last 11 seasons, Badgers have trailed in only 33 of 176 home games under Ryan. UW has come back to win 22 of those games (UW trailed 27-25 Thursday night).
• After a 2-for-6 start at the free throw line, the Badgers went 12-for-12 at the charity stripe in the second half and finished the game 15-for-19 (78.9%).
• The Badgers went 8-for-8 at the free throw line in the final five minutes. UW is now shooting 81.6% (40-of-49) at the line in the final 5:00 of Big Ten games.
• Wisconsin entered the game allowing a nation’s-low 49.6 points per game and held Indiana to 50, a total 29.8 points below the Hoosiers’ season average of 79.8 points per contest.
• Indiana averaged 7.3 made 3-pointers per game entering Thursday but hit just 3 treys against UW.
• Wisconsin lowered its nation-leading average of turnovers per game to 8.91 by committing just 6 turnovers Thursday.
• The Badgers finished with a season-high 8 blocks, including 5 by junior Jared Berggren.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Sophomore Ben Brust scored a game-high 13 points on 3-for-6 shooting from 3-point range, his third double-digit scoring performance in Big Ten play.
• Junior Ryan Evans pulled down 9 rebounds -- including four on the offensive glass -- to go along with 12 points on a career-best 8-for-8 free throw shooting performance.
• Junior Mike Bruesewitz scored 10 points, going 4-for-4 at the free throw line, and added 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
• Senior Jordan Taylor scored 10 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 2 assists, zero turnovers and a steal in 39 minutes of action. Taylor has committed just 1 turnover in the Badgers’ last four games combined.
• Junior Jared Berggren posted a career-high 5 blocks.
