TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Wisconsin closed out play at the Big Ten/Mountain West/ACC Tournament on Sunday with a 9-0 loss to host-Florida State at JoAnne Graf Field in Tallahassee, Fla.

Wisconsin falls to 5-5 on the season while Florida State improves to 12-8. The Badgers have now lost three in a row for the first time since dropping five straight contests from March 24-31, 2010.

The Badgers managed just one hit in the loss, but it belonged to Jennifer Krueger who extended her hitting streak to 13 games. That ties teammate Molly Spence and former Badger Boo Gillette for the fourth-longest streak in school history. Samantha Polito holds the record at 16 games from April 1-24, 2007.

Florida State got on the board in the first thanks to a UW error.

Tiffani Brown led off with a walk. Meghan Mcintosh then got Courtney Senas to strike out swinging, but the pitch was in the dirt and catcher Maggie Strange's throw to first was high. The ball ended up in right field, putting runners on the corners. After a stolen base by Senas, a wild pitch from McIntosh allowed Brown to score the game's first run.

The Seminoles added a second run in the next inning.

Briana Hamilton led off with a single and followed with stolen base. She moved to third after a groundout and then came around to score on Shayla Jackson's RBI single.

The game was broken open in the third inning as FSU tacked on four runs, sending nine hitters to the plate. The Seminoles collected three hits, drew three walks and used one Badger error to extend a 2-0 lead into a 6-0 advantage.

Wisconsin's best scoring chance came in the top of the fourth as the Badgers loaded the bases.

Krueger led off with an infield single before stealing second base. After a pair of infield popups, Kendall Grimm and Mary Massei drew back-to-back walks to load things up. Cassandra Darrah was unable to capitalize on the situation though as she struck out swinging.

Florida State then ended the game by scratching across the final three runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Wisconsin returns to action on Friday, March 11-13 at the Gaucho Classic in Santa Barbara, Calif. The team plays San Diego at 3:15 p.m. (CT) before facing host-UC Santa Barbara at 5:15 p.m. (CT) on the first day of competition.
