In addition to Duggan, three other Badgers recorded multi-point games. Junior Hilary Knight (Sun Valley, Idaho) scored two goals, and junior Brooke Ammerman (River Vale, N.J.) earned three assists while freshman Madison Packer (Birmingham, Mich.) recorded two assists.

Freshman Alex Rigsby (Delafield, Wis.) earned her fifth shutout as a Badger, saving all 10 shots she faced to improve to 19-1-2.

North Dakota goaltender Stephanie Ney took the loss, giving up four goals and stopping nine shots in the first 20:14 of play. Jorid Dagfinrud then gave up one goal and made 19 saves in 39:46 of play.

Wisconsin opened the scoring at the 13:02 mark of the first period when Duggan scored her first of the night on the power play. Ammerman gained possession of the puck deep in the corner of the offensive zone and found Duggan in position out front, and she buried her fourth game-winning goal.

UW took a 2-0 lead at 13:39 into the period with a goal coming off the stick of Knight. She got the puck from junior Brittany Haverstock (Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia) in the corner and worked it along the boards before wrapping around the back of the net and putting the puck just over Ney's left pad for the goal. Packer also earned an assist on the play.

Knight scored her second goal of the game less than three minutes later, putting the Badgers up 3-0. Packer picked up the puck behind the net and brought it around front before finding Knight at the mouth of the goal. After her first shot was saved, Knight flipped the puck over Ney's right shoulder into the goal.

Duggan gave Wisconsin a 4-0 lead just 14 seconds into the second period. Ammerman intercepted the puck along the boards in the offensive zone and connected with Duggan in the slot for her second goal of the night.

Duggan completed her hat trick with 13:23 remaining. Ammerman again gained possession of the puck deep in the corner, and this time she found sophomore Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) in the slot. Decker's shot hit off of Dagfinrud's chest, and Duggan slid the rebound past Dagfinrud to make it 5-0.
