MADISON, Wis. -- Head coach Yvette Healy and assistant coaches Randy Schneider and Tracie Adix will run two camps in January. Both camps will take place at the McClain Athletic Facility and are open to campers in 7th thru 12th grade or junior college students.
The Good to Great Softball Skills Camp will take place on Jan. 15 from 1-4 p.m. Campers will go through 30 creative drills, including the James Bond throwing drill and Spiderman drill. There is no individual position breakdown at this camp, so each camper is able to participate in every drill.
The team will also offer the Winter Softball Camp on Jan. 28-29. Six different sessions are available, covering both the physical and mental sides of the sport. The camp includes a session each of defense, speed, offense, pitching and slapping, and two sessions of mental training.
Those interested in additional information should contact Tracie Adix at (608) 265-8493 or TLA@athletics.wisc.edu.
