- Tonight’s loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the UW. It was also only the second defeat for the Badgers in the Kohl Center this season and Wisconsin’s first Big Ten loss at home. UW falls to 8-2 at home.
- Wisconsin scored a season-low 43 points and tied season lows for first-half points (18) and second-half points (25). UW also made a season-low 16 field goals. The Badgers shot just 28.1 percent, another season low.
- The Nittany Lions outscored the Badgers 29-25 in the second half, the first time in five games that the UW has been outscored in the second period.
- After holding Tyra Grant scoreless in the first half, the Nittany Lions All-Big Ten pick scored 14 points in the second half. Grant was 0-7 to start the game but shot 6-9 the rest of the game. She scored 14 of the PSU’s 29 second-half points. Gant entered the game averaging 19.7 points per game.
- With the win, Penn State remains in sole possession of second place in the Big Ten at 6-2. Wisconsin also remains in third place in the league at 5-4.
