MADISON, Wis. -- It's nearly that time of year to sharpen your skates and bring them to the Kohl Center for Wisconsin hockey's "Skate with the Badgers." This year's event, for both the men's and women's teams, will take place on Sunday, Dec. 6.
This is your chance to skate on the Kohl Center ice while collecting autographs and photos from your favorite Badger hockey players and coaches. Admission is free.
The Wisconsin women's hockey team faces Minnesota-Duluth that day at 2 p.m. Following the game, the fans can skate with the women's hockey team from 4:30 p.m. until 5:10 p.m. The time set aside to skate with the men's hockey team is 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Doors for the women's hockey game will open at 1 pm and fans wishing to participate in the men's hockey "Skate with the Badgers" can begin arriving and gearing up at 4:45 pm. Fans are encouraged to enter the Kohl Center through Gate B and parking is available in lots 88 and 91. For the safety of participants, those entering the ice must be wearing skates. Additionally, no sticks or pucks will be allowed on the ice. Please note, skate rental is not available through UW Athletics.
