Game Notes

• Wisconsin trailed by as many as 15 points late in the first half. The Badgers were behind 40-25 with 1:49 left in the half. UW outscored CSU 42-28 in the second half to win.

• UW led 12-11 with 14:19 to go in the first half and didn't lead again until 1:39 left in the game. Freshman Taylor Wurtz hit a jumper in the paint to put the Badgers up 69-68.

Alyssa Karel tied her career high with four steals.

Lin Zastrow, who was held scoreless in the first half after picking up two early fouls, scored seven straight points in the second half. Zastrow scored three field goals and a free throw to pull the UW within four with 13:49 left. Her scoring spree started at 16:39 on the clock when the score was 45-36. Zastrow finished with 12 points in the game and also led all players with eight rebounds.

• Sophomore Jamie Russell scored a season-high seven points, all in the first half, as several Badger starters were in foul trouble. Russell played only nine minutes but shot 3-of-5 from the field, including 1-of-1 from 3-point range. She also pulled down one rebound and had two steals.

• Freshman Taylor Wurtz recorded her second straight double-figure scoring game. The 6-0 guard had 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting, including the game winner with 1:39 remaining. She also had four rebounds and one assist. • Wisconsin outrebounded Cleveland State 33-24, its largest rebounding margin of the season.

• The Badgers had 11 steals vs. the Vikings, their third straight game with double-digit steals. Wisconsin is averaging 12 steals per game this season.

• UW scored 70 points, its highest point total of the season. Wisconsin scored 70 points only once in 2008-09, a double-overtime game vs. Milwaukee. The Badgers also gave up 68 points, the highest by an opponent this season.
