
Badgers still No. 1

The Wisconsin women's hockey team remains in the top spot in both the USCHO.com Division I Women's Hockey Poll released on Monday, Dec. 1, and in the NAV=PL_03_01&id=198180"> --> USA Today/USA Hockey NAV=PL_03_01&id=198180"> --> Magazine NAV=PL_03_01&id=198180"> --> NAV=PL_03_01&id=198180"> --> Women's College Hockey Division I Poll released on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The Badgers have had the best start in school history with an 18 game unbeaten streak going 16-0-2.
Wisconsin has remained No. 1 since the week of Oct. 14, occupying the spot for eight straight weeks. For the seventh straight week, the Badgers were unanimously selected No. 1 with all of the first-place votes in both polls.
Conference foe Minnesota remains second in both polls after a non-conference series sweep over Harvard. Wisconsin jumped over Minnesota into the WCHA league lead with two victories over Minnesota State, 8-0 on Nov. 29 and 7-2 on Nov. 30.
Minnesota Duluth jumped into fourth place in the USA Today poll and sixth in the USCHO.com poll. St. Cloud State and North Dakota have been receiving votes in both polls.
Wisconsin will look to continue its streak when they host St. Cloud State Dec. 5-6 at the Kohl Center. Face-off is slated to start at 2 p.m. for both games.
