
Badgers remain No. 1

As the holiday season quickly approaches, the Wisconsin women's hockey team continues to be widely recognized as the No. 1 hockey team in the country. In the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Poll, the Badger women were unanimously selected the top-ranked team in the country, receiving all 19 first-place votes. With an 18-0-2 record, Wisconsin has held the top spot in the nation for 10 straight weeks, and the ninth straight week by unanimous selection.
The U.S. College Hockey Online Poll also unanimously ranked the Badger women No. 1 in the nation.
Wisconsin will play an exhibition game against the U.S. Select team Jan. 2 at the Kohl Center. Face-off is set for 2 p.m.
