Opening Statement: 'Thank you so much and crowd, thank you, you were very important today. And again, a nice Marquette team, and they'll do very well in the Big East. I'm very proud of our players, they came in very focused. We've had a crazy schedule and to do what we did this week with in-state against two really good teams, I'm very proud of our players. They did what they had to do, played solid defense, we shared the ball well offensively and took care of the ball. We only had six turnovers in each half. I can't say enough about this young group, they continue to improve, grow, and get better. Now it's on to the Big Ten and we're excited about that.'
On Teah Gant matched up against Krystal Ellis: 'Teah was awesome on both offensive and defense today. I thought Teah really responded and logged a lot of minutes today. She knew she was going to get that call and I thought Teah did a great job of getting through screens and contesting shots and pushing Krystal (Ellis) back into traffic. Again, it was a great team defensive effort, but I thought Teah did a great job.'
On the Badger's defense: 'It 's great team defense, contesting shots and getting out to shooters and limiting to one shot. I thought rebounding we had a lot of contributions from a lot of players and obviously Mariah Dunham. Tara Steinbauer came in and got us some big boards and Teah ends up with eight rebounds. Those are really big numbers. Again, you look at this collective unit and it's different every game, but we're getting some results. I 'm very proud and what a way to end the non-conference. We had our first exam and we'll have a break for final exams and we'll come back against Iowa. This team is amazing and a wonderful group of young women and they work very hard.'
