UW Celebrates Kohl Center 10th Anniversary

January 2008, marks the 10th anniversary of the Kohl Center, one of the finest venues in the nation.
Throughout the years, nearly 6.5 million visitors have gone through the doors at the Kohl Center. It has witnessed thousands of UW graduates conclude their college careers and receive their degrees. It has hosted state and national tournaments, world-class entertainers and countless civic and community events.
In its brief history, it has been the home court and home ice for multiple Big Ten and WCHA Championship teams. All four UW teams calling the Kohl Center home have enjoyed record-breaking success on the field of play and unparalleled support by fans. The Kohl Center has been home to some of the greatest individual and team achievements in Wisconsin Athletics' history.

Fans can read about the first contest in Kohl Center history, a 56-33 Badger men's basketball victory over Northwetstern on Jan. 17, 1998. Vote for your favorite Kohl Center moments. The four moments, from men's and women 's hockey and men's and women's basketball, receiving the most votes will be depicted on signage on the 100 level concourse on the east side of the Kohl Center. Click here to vote.

Great Moments Videos
Fans can relive some of the greatest UW Athletics moments in Kohl Center history by viewing videos highlighting these tremendous achievements. The videos will be displayed on the videoboards during Kohl Center events and later archived on uwbadgers.com. Click here to view videos.
Collectible Timeline Poster
A must have for all Badgers fans, these limited edition collectible timeline posters chronicle the greatest moments in the 10 year history of the Kohl Center. They are available while supplies last at UW sporting events (see below for schedule). Collect all four to complete the timeline. The posters are provided courtesy of Oscar J. Boldt Construction, builder of the Kohl Center, and Coca Cola.

Special Celebration Event
In celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Kohl Center, fans are encouraged to attend the Wisconsin women's basketball game on Thursday, January 17 at 7 pm. The game is exactly ten years to the day of the opening of the Kohl Center. Fans will enjoy a number of celebration events that evening to commemorate the milestone.
