UW Set for UNC Wilmington

The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team (7-1) continues action at the Kohl Center at 7 p.m. tonight when it plays host to UNC Wilmington (7-1). WPT will cover the game on a tape-delay basis.
Last Saturday, Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan recorded his 100th career win with a 77-63 victory over in-state rival Marquette. In the game, junior guard Kammron Taylor led all scorers with 18 points while senior Ray Nixon tabbed a career-high 15 points.
As for UNC-Wilmington, the team is off to its best start since the 1992-93 season and is on a four-game win streak heading into its match-up against Wisconsin. Last time the Seahawks played, they posted a 60-40 victory on Dec. 4 over Colonial Athletic Association rival Virginia Commonwealth.
In the win, sophomore forward Todd Hendley tied his career high with 14 points and added nine boards. Currently, Hendley is second in the team in points per game (11.3) while senior guard John Goldsberry leads UNCW with 12.4 points per game.
The last time these two teams played one another was back on Nov. 30, 1996 when the Badgers handled the Seahawks 68-35. Since then, the Badgers have played two games against teams from the Colonial Athletic Association'a loss to Georgia State in the 2001 NCAA Tournament and most recently, an 84-81 win over Old Dominion to take the Paradise Jam Tournament title.
UNCW also faced off against the Big Ten's Northwestern earlier this season and defeated the Wildcats, 56-48.
