UW Hosts Twinbill With UW-Green Bay Saturday
September 24, 2004 | Softball
The Wisconsin softball team continues its fall season Saturday when it hosts UW-Green Bay for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. at Goodman Diamond.
The Badgers enter their first of two home dates during the fall coming off a 3-2 mark at the Chicagoland Classic in Orland Park, Ill., last weekend. UW's pitchers allowed just five runs during the team's five games at the tournament. Sophomore Eden Brock picked up two wins in the pitcher's circle, while freshman Ricci Robben earned the other.
UW-Green Bay, coming off an 8-28 record during the 2004 regular season, has a new head coach in Jean Rivett. Rivett previously coached the Phoenix from 1994-96. She was most recently the head coach at Green Bay (Wis.) East High School for the past four seasons. UWGB posted a 3-2 record at the National Invitational Tournament hosted by Western Illinois two weeks ago.
Admission to both of Saturday's games is free of charge.
