Badgers Close Exhibition Season vs. UW-Platteville

The Wisconsin men's basketball team closes the exhibition season tonight when it hosts Division III UW-Platteville. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the 17,142-seat Kohl Center.
The game will be televised on a tape-delay basis by Wisconsin Public Television. Jay Wilson and former Badger Charlie Wills will handle the commentary. The game will be telecast on a statewide basis at 11 p.m.
The game can also be heard live on the 46-city Wisconsin Radio Network (Matt Lepay and Mike Lucas). WIBA (1310 am) is the rightsholder in Madison.
Badger head coach Bo Ryan was the head coach at UW-Platteville for 15 years, from 1984-1999. He compiled a 353-76 (.822) record, the best winning percentage in Division III history. He led the Pioneers to eight WIAC titles and four national championships. Two of his teams (1994-95 and 1997-98) went undefeated.
In addition, UW assistant Rob Jeter played at Platteville from 1987-91 and is the school's all-time leader in career field goal percentage (.601). Fellow assistant Greg Gard also graduated from UW-Platteville and his younger brother, Jeff, is a Pioneer assistant. Both Jeter and Gard were on Ryan's staff at Platteville
Wisconsin is 39-4 all-time in exhibition games and have not lost an exhibition game since Nov. 17, 1992 when they dropped an 87-81 decision to the Russian National team (24 straight wins). The Badgers are 7-0 in exhibition games under Bo Ryan, winning by an average of 26.4 points.
UW opens the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 20 vs. Penn at the Kohl Center. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
