Softball Wraps Up Fall Season at Home Saturday

The Wisconsin softball team will bring its fall season to a close Saturday as it plays host to Winona State and UW-Parkside at Goodman Diamond.
The day opens with a game between the Badgers and Winona State at 11 a.m., followed by Winona State vs. UW-Parkside at 1 p.m. UW-Parkside and the Badgers conclude the afternoon by facing off at 3 p.m.
Wisconsin has posted a 5-2 record thus far during its fall season. UW went 3-2 at the Chicagoland Classic Sept. 17-19 before sweeping a doubleheader from UW-Green Bay on Sept. 25.
UW's pitching staff has picked up where it left off at the end of the 2004 regular season. Wisconsin opponents have managed just eight runs in the seven games played so far this fall. Sophomore Eden Brock has spearheaded the effort as she has a perfect 4-0 record and has surrendered just one run and nine hits in 19.1 innings pitched.
