  • Co-Founder of Baby Joe Gan’s Foundation in 1984, providing scholarships and helping inner city youth boxers keep their gyms and provide equipment for the kids
  • A member of the Wisconsin Boxing Advisory Committee and member of the Board of Trustees of the Milwaukee Eagles Club
  • 1981-2006 professional referee
  • Inducted into the UW Boxing Wall of Fame in 1981
  • Started boxing at the age of 12
