  • For 20 years, hosted the Kalscheur/Krantz steak fry, which raised over $6 million for UW Athletics

  • Named an honorary member of the National W Club in 2004
  • Hosts various UW teams at his farm annually
  • Helped fund a community park, playgrounds and athletic fields in Pine Bluff
  • Built an addition to Pine Bluff Church
  • Annually hosts handicapped children at his farm for a fishing outing
  • Major contributor to the Empty Stocking Club every Christmas
  • Inducted into the Wisconsin Meat Industry Hall of Fame in 2005
  • Member of the Madison Mallards Wall of Fame in 2008
