Jeff Sauer
- Induction:
- 2016
- First coach in NCAA history to win a national title in his inaugural season at a school
- Retired as the eighth-winningest coach in NCAA history and only person in WCHA annals to coach 30 seasons in the league
- Won 489 games as a coach at Wisconsin, the most victories for a UW coach in any sport
- UW won two NCAA titles (1983, 1990) under his direction
- Guided the Badgers to WCHA regular-season titles in 1990 and 2000 and to WCHA playoff crowns in 1983, 1988, 1990, 1995 and 1998
- Spent two seasons (1969-71) as Wisconsin assistant coach, helping program to first two NCAA appearances
- Active in USA Hockey, coaching the national hearing impaired team and the U.S. Sled Hockey Team, winning gold at 2012 World Championship
- Coached Team USA at the 1995 IIHF World Championship and 1990 Goodwill Games, and served as assistant coach for the 1992 team, among various other international competitions.
- Served as the U.S. Sled Hockey Team head coach for the 2014 Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, winning gold
- Winner of NHL's Lester Patrick Award for outstanding contributions to hockey in the U.S. in 2011
- Honored with 2000 USA Hockey's Distinguished Achievement Award
- Awarded 2004 American Hockey Coaches Association's John "Snooks" Kelly Founders Award
- Inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014
