Sawyer Sarbacker joined the Wisconsin Strength & Conditioning staff in May of 2022 and currently serves as an Assistant Coach of Olympic Strength & Conditioning - Fellow, working with the Badgers' women’s soccer, wrestling, and the men's and women's swimming & diving programs.
Previously, Sarbacker served as the Olympic strength and conditioning department's graduate assistant leading the men’s and women’s diving program, providing on the floor instruction of the program and assisting the fulltime strength staff with the volleyball, wrestling, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s track and field, and the swimming programs. Sarbacker started his strength and conditioning career as an intern from 2022-23 before being elevated to a graduate assistant. Sarbacker completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Sports Science with an emphasis in Strength & Conditioning from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse with a minor in nutrition and completed his graduate studies in Sports Leadership at the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to joining the staff, he completed internships at UW-La Crosse and Wisconsin, working with all Olympic sports, as well as within multiple private facilities.
Sarbacker strives to be a lifelong learner and has attained certifications including the NSCA CSCS, TPI level 1, Fast Twitch Training System, Omni-Contractions Training System, and CPR/AED through the American Red Cross Association.Â
