Wisconsin Badgers

Josette Jaucian has been the Wisconsin Spirit Squad Director since 2000 and hails from Middleton, Wisconsin. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the UW Cheerleading Squad, Dance Team & the Bucky Badger mascots. Since assuming her duties, the UW Spirit Squad has become nationally recognized through its top-ranked performances at the UCA/UDA College National Cheerleading & Dance Team Competition. In addition to working with the teams, she must work closely with many administrative units, such as Senior Staff, coaches and student-athletes, Game Day & Fan Experience, Development and Event Management offices, as well as with many of the Division’s affiliated partners, including the UW Band, Wisconsin Alumni Association, National W Club and Badger Sports Properties.

A Wisconsin cheerleader from 1992-1997, Jaucian has served in a number of Spirit Squad positions including the Cheerleading coach from 1997-1998 and 2001-2002, and the Dance Team coach from 2002-2003 and 2010-present. She served as the Assistant Cheerleading coach while still an undergraduate from 1995-1996, and was the Administrative Assistant from 1996-1998. She was a 1997 graduate of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Jaucian has three daughters: Natalie, Madelyn, and Quinlan.
