A Wisconsin native and UW–Madison alumnus, Erik Role enters his first season as Assistant Director of Creative Video and third season as the primary Content Producer for Wisconsin men’s basketball. In this role, he leads creative video production for the program and contributes to in-venue videoboard content for both men’s basketball and football.
Before joining Wisconsin full-time in 2019, Role spent the 2018–19 season with Big Ten Network’s On-Campus program, collaborating with the UW Athletic Department to produce content for the @WisconsinOnBTN and @BigTenNetwork social channels. As an undergraduate, he was a four-year student assistant in the video department, creating content for all 23 Badger sports.
A native of Coon Valley, Wisconsin, Role graduated from UW–Madison in 2018 with a degree in Communication Arts. He currently lives in the Madison area with his fiancé, Katie.
