Folino joined the Badgers as the associate director of sports performance in January 2023. Folino arrived in Madison with Brady Collins from the University of Cincinnati.
Folino worked alongside Collins with the Bearcats, helping manage the team’s strength and conditioning program. Folino directly managed the progression of all athletes and managed interns within the department. With Folino on staff, the Bearcats won AAC championships in 2020 and 2021, advancing to the College Football Playoff after an undefeated season in 2021.
Prior to his time at Cincinnati, Folino worked as a strength and conditioning intern at Northwestern in 2017. Folino spent 2015-2017 as a graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning department at Michigan State.
He played collegiately at Michigan State, earning three varsity letters as a linebacker. Folino played in 11 games during his career, racking up four tackles. He played in three bowl games, including the 2014 Rose Bowl, during his career as a Spartan.
Folino graduated from Michigan State with a bachelor’s degree in 2014 and earned his masters in Kinesiology as a Spartan in 2016.
