Adam Davies joined Wisconsin’s staff in 2017 and currently serves as the Assistant Director - Academic Advisor for men’s basketball, men’s hockey, and women’s hockey. He previously served as an Academic Advisor for women’s basketball and swimming & diving. Before that served as the Assistant Career & Leadership Coordinator for the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams and Assistant Academic Advisor for the women’s rowing teams.

Davies is an active member within the N4A community serving on various committees and having participated in the Professional Development Institute (PDI). He has also served as a facilitator for the NCAA Leadership Forum, Career in Sports Forum and Student-Athlete Leadership Training.

Originally from North Massapequa, New York, Davies comes to Madison after spending two years at Wichita State University and four years at Stony Brook University.

At Wichita State, Davies served as a graduate assistant for the Shocker LIFE program (student-athlete development) and academic coordinating. Davies also gained experience as an athletic marketing associate while earning his M.Ed. in Sport Management in 2017 and was named Graduate Student of the Year and received the Bright Future Award. Davies’ main responsibility was the restructuring, rebranding and oversight of the Shocker LIFE program at Wichita State.

At Stony Brook, Davies competed for the Seawolves on the track & field team. In addition to being a student-athlete, Davies served as Co-President of the SAAC and President of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club. Davies graduated with a B.S. in Health Science with a concentration in Healthcare Management in 2015 and was honored for his commitment to leadership, community service and academics by being presented with the Seawolves’ Choice Award, America East Helping Hands Award and the Faculty Athletic Representative Award.
