
Badgers open postseason at Big Ten Outdoor Championship

UW heads to Lincoln, Nebraska for conference meet
MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin women's track and field team will head to the Big Ten Outdoor Championships this week, hosted by the University of Nebraska, for the start of the postseason.
The meet at the brand new Nebraska Track Stadium opens on Friday at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Action on Saturday opens at 9:30 a.m. with the decathlon 110 hurdles. Sunday the meet will open at 10:10 a.m. with the women's triple jump.
Live results will be available on PTTiming while events will be streamed live on Big Ten Plus. Fans can watch the action on Championship Sunday on Big Ten Network starting at 12:30 p.m.
1. ON FIRE: The Badgers are coming off a strong performance at the Badger Challenge, where they recorded 10 first-place finishes and three top-10 program marks. Luciana Aizpurua ran a personal best of 11.56 seconds, cementing herself at No. 4 in school history. In the discus, Zonica Lindeque threw 177 feet, 7 inches (54.14m), moving up to No. 5 all-time. Also in the discus, Vasiliki Samolada threw 169-11 (51.81m), grabbing the No. 9 spot in school history.
2. POISED FOR SUCCESS: Kylie Finger is ready to make some noise in the 1500, with a strong personal best at Penn Relays at the end of April. Her time of 4:11.69 puts her at No. 8 in the conference and No. 4 in school history.
3. THRILLING THROWS: The Badger women have found success in the throwing department all year, boasting 11 throws in the top-25 of the conference across throwing events. 2025 NCAA Champion Taylor Kesner leads the group, with a discus throw of 185-10 (56.64m), putting her at No. 5 in the conference. She also ranks 10th in the javelin with a heave of 166-11 (50.89m). Danni Langseth also cracks the top-10 in the shot put, with a throw of 55-6 ¼ (16.92m) that places her at the conference No. 8 spot.
4. EXCITING JUMPS: After a successful 2026 campaign, Elissa Perkins is right in the mix. Perkins is ranked No. 13 in the conference in the triple jump with a 41-10 ¾ (12.77m). This also puts her at No. 5 all-time in school history. Perkins will also look to perform well in the long jump, where she is ranked No. 25 in the Big 10.
5. UP NEXT: The Badgers will continue the post-season run on Wednesday, May 27th, in Fayetteville, Arkansas with the NCAA West First Round. The meet will run for four days, ending on May 30th. The tentative meet schedule can be found here.
