Wisconsin wraps three-day west coast run with big results

Badgers stack PBs and top-ten marks to close out their California trip
LONG BEACH, Calif. — The Wisconsin women's track and field team closed out its three‑day California stretch with multiple top‑ten program marks and a series of personal bests across sprints, jumps and throws.
The 4x100‑meter relay of Luciana Aizpurua, Rachel Robinson, Sydney Robinson and Catalina Sanchious highlighted the weekend, clocking a personal best 45.59 to move up to No. 4 in the Wisconsin record book and finish seventh overall.
Senior Sydney Robinson carried that momentum into the 200 meters, running a personal best 24.03 to climb from No. 10 to No. 9 all‑time. Freshman Catalina Sanchious followed in 24th with a time of 24.71.
In the 100 meters, Rachel Robinson led the Badgers in 11.82 for 14th overall, followed by Aizpurua in 11.90 and Sanchious in 11.93.
In the jumps, Elissa Perkins delivered one of the day's biggest marks, winning the triple jump at 41‑10¾ (12.77m) to rise to No. 5 in program history. She also added a fifth‑place finish in the long jump with a mark of 19‑7½ (5.98m).
The throws group continued the Badgers' success in the circle. Taylor Kesner and Zonica Lindeque placed fifth and sixth in the discus invite with throws of 174‑8 (53.24m) and 174‑7 (53.23m), respectively. Lindeque's mark was a personal best and moved her from No. 7 to No. 6 in the Wisconsin record book. Hadley Lucas added a 10th‑place finish at 164‑8 (50.21m).
In the shot put, Lucas and Lindeque placed 13th and 14th with marks of 48‑2¾ (14.70m) and 48‑1¼ (14.66m).
At the Bryan Clay Invitational, Emma Kruse wrapped up the weekend for Wisconsin with a time of 4:26.18 in the 1500 meters.
UP NEXT: The Badgers will split squads again next week. The distance crew heads east for the Penn Relays in Philadelphia (April 23–25), while another group travels to Des Moines for the Drake Relays, also scheduled for April 23–25.
