Four Badgers competed in 1-meter diving
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Wisconsin women's dive team opened up competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Monday afternoon. All four Badger women competed in the day's 1-meter event, marking the most divers UW has sent to Zones since 2016.
Herring led the Badgers in the 1-meter preliminary session, notching a 21st-place finish with 260.00 points across six dives. The junior finished just 3.6 points behind the last qualifier for the evening finals session.
Junior Ryane Neal followed shortly behind, collecting 253.00 points for a 25th-place finish. Zara Karimi and Vivian Kinnard followed with 232.75 and 195.65 points, respectively.
Competition resumes tomorrow with 3-meter diving. Prelims will begin at noon (CT) with finals at 3 p.m. (CT).
