
Wisconsin sends 12 to NCAA Championships

The Badgers qualify for 15 individual events and five relays
MADISON, Wis. — The No. 15 Wisconsin women's swim and dive team will send 12 student-athletes to the NCAA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 18-21. The Badgers will be competing in 15 individual events, as well as all five relays.
Sophomore Maggie Wanezek will be representing the Badgers in three individual events. Wanezek is seeded second in the 200 back and fifth in the 100 back. The sophomore is also seeded 21st in the 200 free.
Abby Wanezek also qualified in two individual events. The senior is seeded 29th in the 200 free and 27th in the 100 free. Hailey Tierney will be representing the Badgers in the 50 free, seeded 28th.
In the 1650 free, junior Maddie Waggoner is seeded 18th and senior Blair Stoneburg is seeded 24th. Stoneburg will also be competing in the 500 free, where the senior is seeded 22nd.
Freshman Brooke Corrigan and senior Hazal Ozkan will be representing Wisconsin in the 200 breast. Corrigan is seeded 13th, and Ozkan is seeded 31st. Corrigan will also be competing in the 100 breast, where she is seeded in 24th.
Stella Chapman qualified for two individual events, competing in the 200 IM and the 400 IM, where she is seeded 26th and 18th, respectively. Freshman Lucie Delmas will be competing in the 200 fly, seeded 16th.
Andrea Dworak, Izzy Enz and Arianna Zelen also punched their ticket to Atlanta as relay alternates, where Wisconsin will be competing in all five relays.
