Lindeque continues strong outdoor campaign
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -Â Zonica Lindeque emerged as the standout from a day of action between a pair of meets for the Wisconsin women's track and field program between the 44 Farms Team Invitational and the UW-Platteville Invitational.
From College Station, Texas, Lindeque notched her second personal best in as many competitions in the shot put—improving her top mark to remain at No. 7 in UW's Outdoor Track history with a heave of 52 feet, 7 ½ inches (16.04m). Lindeque went on to place sixth in the event against a strong pool of athletes.Â
Karina Janik and Julia Moore each placed 12th in their respective events in College Station to wrap up the day. Janik turned in a time of 1 minute, 1.33 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles, nearly matching her quickest time of the season in the event.
Moore leaped 12-2 (3.71m) in the pole vault in her second appearance of the outdoor season. Â
Up Next: The Badgers are back in action in both meets tomorrow morning, as competitors are set to start at 11:30 a.m. CT in College Station and 1:00 p.m. CT in Platteville.Â
