Team USA’s women's lightweight double sculls takes sixth place
MADISON, Wis. – Senior Grace Joyce finished her experience at the 2019 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Sarasota, Florida, during Sunday's finals.
Rowing with teammate Elizabeth Ray, Team USA's women's lightweight double sculls took sixth place in the A finals with a last place time of 7:21.120.
The 2000-meter race involved six boats with Switzerland coming in first in a time of 7:03.830, followed by the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Denmark and the U.S.
The duo had advanced directly to the final after placing second last Thursday in their heat with a time of 7:09.520 from Thursday morning.
