
Badgers make waves at USRowing national championships

Women's rowers win multiple races at national championships
BETHEL, Ohio – Members of the Wisconsin women's rowing team had a successful weekend competing at the USRowing national championships on Harsha Lake.
The six-day event concluded on Sunday, ending with Badgers on the top of multiple podiums.
Junior Isa Darvin was one-half of the pair that won the Women's Intermediate 2x Final, with their time of 7:29.274 beating the second-place team by five seconds. Darvin was also a part of the team that finished in first-place in the Women's Intermediate 4x Final with a time of 6:53.295. No other team in the final finished in under seven minutes.
The Badger Development Camp had two boats finish in the top-three of the Women's Intermediate 2- Final. The duo of rising seniors Elisabet Pietz and Elizabeth Clarke took home the win after finishing with a time of 7:38.611, and the team of senior-to-be Taylor Caudle and junior Charlotte Melcher took third-place with a time of 7:46.199.
The Badgers picked up another win in the Women's Elite 4- final, as the boat that included Pietz, Clarke, Caudle and Melcher finished in first with a time of 6:49.619. A boat led by rising sophomore Adrienne Kisting finished in fourth with a time of 7:03.124.
Wisconsin closed out the day with a second-place finish in the Women's Elite 8+ Final with a time of 6:33.709. Rowing in the eight were Georgia Norton, Pietz, Brandi Gueths, Kisting, Clarke, Caudle, Melcher, Jenna Hoffstatter and Mackenna Wilkie.
