Senior takes fourth at Missouri in season’s first trip up the tower

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Wisconsin diving team wrapped up competition at the Missouri Diving Invitational by making its season debut on the platform Saturday, with senior Ashley Peterson once again leading the Badgers.

Peterson finished fourth on the discipline amongst a stacked field of 27 competitors on the 10-meter platform, tallying an NCAA zone qualifying score of 237.05.

Dana Liva also posted a zone qualifying mark, recording a personal-best score of 231.90 to take sixth overall.

Alexandra Hafey rounded out the day for the Wisconsin women, taking 16th with 190.80 points.

Freshman Kevin Pomeroy led UW men on the platform, finishing 10th with a score of 275.35.

Ethan O'Neill came in 13th, recording 241.30 points, and Andrew Pearce was right behind him, taking 14th with a score of 216.50.

The Wisconsin swimming team will be back in action in two weeks as it heads south to compete in the always-competitive Texas Invitational. The four-day meet begins Wednesday, Nov. 30, and runs through Saturday, Dec. 3
