MADISON, Wis. --- A pair of Wisconsin women's rowers -- one from the openweight team and one from the lightweight team -- were named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Pocock All-Americans, the organization announced Monday night.
Junior Hannah Schwartz (Milwaukee) was named a second-team openweight All-American, while junior Helena Randle (Brookline, Massachusetts) earned recognition as a lightweight All-American.
Schwartz, who was named a first-team all-region rower, stroked the varsity eight this past season, helping the boat place 13th at the 2015 NCAA Rowing Championships. The finish marked the best NCAA result for the boat since 2012. The boat also placed fourth at the 2015 Big Ten Championships and was named Big Ten Boat of the Week on May 5 for its wins over Minnesota and Michigan State at the Devil's Lake Challenge in Baraboo. The junior is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick.

All-American Helena Randle
Randle sat bow seat for the Badgers lightweight at the 2015 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championships, claiming a fifth-place finish in the title race on May 31. She also rowed bow seat to help the boat place fourth at the 2015 Eastern Association of Women's Rowing Colleges Conference Championships in early May. Like Schwartz, the junior Randle is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick. She was also named a CRCA Scholar Athlete this season.
Schwartz is the 11th Pocock openweight All-American since the program's earned its first in 1999. Randle is the 13th Pocock All-American for the lightweight program. Lightweight All-Americans were first named in 2007.
