Badgers have six tournaments including the conference championship

MADISON, Wis. -- The Badgers return to several familiar venues when the spring schedule resumes in March. Regulars at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, UW will open March 7-8 at the Palmetto Golf Course in Aiken, S.C. Last year Eddie Wajda led the men's golf team in scoring and recorded a career-best 54-hole 71-72-73--216 to lead UW to a 15th place finish with 34-over 286-288-300--874.
UW heads to the northwest March 21-22 for a new event. The 54-holeAirstream Adventures Northwest Classicwill be held at the Williamette Valley Golf Club in Canby, Ore.
UW returns to South Carolina April 3-5 for Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate held at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awndaw, S.C. SeniorRob Jacobsen remained consistent over the three-day tournament tallying 1-over 70 and a pair of 74s to finish tied at 36th at 4-over 218. The Badgers placed 13th with a 28-over 300-299-293--892.
UW makes one of three-straight trips to the State of Indiana April 9-10 for the Hoosier Intercollegiate at Otter Creek held in Columbus, Ind. UW returns the following weekend, April 16-17, for the Boilermaker Invitational held at the always-tough Kampen Course in West Lafayette. UW was 10th at 23-over 296-293-300--887 in the tournament last year.
The regular season concludes April 22-24 at the 72-hole Big Ten Championship held for the second year at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind. Last yearthe Badgers finished tied for fifth, five spots better than in 2014. It was the best conference finish since finishing fifth in 2007, and the team's 72-hole score of 297-294-295-297--1183 tied for eighth in school history.SeniorsJack Watson, Matt Ross and Rob Jacobsen all finished among the top 18. Watson tied for ninth with 4-over 292, Ross and Jacobsen finished tied for 18th with 8-over 296.
